Methods

The following articles were analysed to gather the proteome content of erythrocytes.

The gene or protein list provided in the studies were processed using the ID mapping API of Uniprot in September 2018. The number of proteins identified and mapped without ambiguity in these studies is indicated below.
Only Swiss-Prot entries (reviewed) were considered for protein evidence assignation.

CLONING

By database analysis to identify sequences similar to mouse Scrn1 (614965), Way et al. (2002) identified human SCRN3. The deduced SCRN3 protein contain 243 amino acids.

MAPPING

By genomic sequence analysis, Way et al. (2002) mapped the SCRN3 gene to chromosome 2p14-q14.3. Hartz (2012) mapped the SCRN3 gene to chromosome 2q31.1 based on an alignment of the SCRN3 sequence (GenBank GENBANK AK026795) with the genomic sequence (GRCh37). ... More on the omim web site
